2nd of 6 Plainville

Today's race action was intense! Epic Velo had Jeremy and Joe K. in the 8am race. This race was cut and dry until the pack sprint at the end where Joe K. did the team proud with a 3rd place finish! Jeremy placed top ten.

The 11am race was much faster then the last plainville crit. This race averaged 24.5 MPH with attacks, breaks, and bridges all over the place and Dillon, Gregg and Chris A. trying to hold it together! The last break of the race Chris A. jumped in and it stuck till the end with Chris A. coming in 2nd. (he thought it was 1st but due to the lapped riders not getting pulled, an unaccounted man was up the road)

Dillon and Gregg back in the peleton had no reason to pull back the break so they planned for a Field sprint with Dillon leading out Gregg 1/4 mile to the finish! The timing was perfect and the peleton was toasted! Dillon popped 150m from the line and Gregg sprinted to a Field sprint win and an overall place of 9th!

Check out Chris A. giving it his all and the other rider getting a perfect view!

Comments:
Chris, nice 2nd place finish. Great to watch you hold it with the group and pull it out in front. Really good racing.

Thanks - and GREAT photo! Thanks for coming out and shooting the races! Hope I to have video up soon . . .

Who is in the picture? It looks like Gregg.

Chris A. is in the pic

Video is up at http://www.suitcaseofcourage.typepad.com

It's not great quality (old 2meg camera) but hopefully better than nothing!

Apparently Joe K. did not sign in as an EpicVelo racer?

He did, but the race promoter is very strict. The USA cycling site didn't have the change listed yet... so no points.

Saw the video. Looks like you guys are going fast.
