What's your take on it?

So the kid that won the 1st Plainville 11am race stuck his hands in the air well before the line in a victory salute to himself, then promptly veered left and hit the 2nd place guy resulting in a crash and the 2nd placer breaking his frame in two spots! The rules are clear about keeping your hands on the bike at all times...

What should be done about this, if anything. The kid was paid his prize $ and is on the plainville web-site as point leader.

What do you guys think?

that was a joke...and I also heard it was his first road rash incident...it is always learning the hard way.
the money should go to the second place guy and then some. The funniest part was this all happened right in front of his gf, I think it was the REASON it happened.

How young is young- Every "young" person (these days)isn't held responsible for any of their actions cause they're young and so full of self esteem they wouldn't know humility if it hit them in the face. This kid was anything BUT humble and that is the problem with young people today: Lack of humility and punishment.

whoa.. this is slightly out of control.... lets get real - LOTS of riders put their hands up and say yeah for winnning. It is not an uncommon practice...and they should be somewhat happy, don't cha think? Its a mistake, it happens, it was dumbish, we'll all live. But compensation for broken bikes is important, taking responsibility is where a real man steps up.
And as for sore losers: I don't thinks so. The winner is the sore one.
We're over it right?
What's up with the race this w/e?
