Plainville Race #5

This race had all the members of Epic Velo doing some top notch racing! Bruce, Chris B, Dave, Dillon, Gregg, Joe K, Skip, and W were the soldiers on the front line of battle today! It was windy and chilly, with the sun poking through to warm up the circuit of concrete pain. The pace was fast from the get-go with Attacks and responses coming Quick(Skip, Dave,Dillon)

The bell rang for the prime lap and the guys form E.v. responded! Skip pulled hard and Bruce picked it up. Bruce pulled all the way to the last corner and 40 yards up the back straight when Dillon pulled out from behind him to win the prime by two bikes over a Cyclonaut rider. Joe K. also put in a hard effort for the prime but came in third.

The 2nd half of the race was Epic Velo all over the front all the time! The attacks from E.V. came hard and quick and the peleton was getting their screws turned! All 8 of the Epic Velo fleet took turns working hard up front and pulling the snot out of the peleton! W dropped his chain and was out for the last 1/4 of the race. No worries, the E.V. squad was determined to dominate! So dominate they did! The bell sounded and the lead out began! A Benidorm rider jumped early having visions of breaking away for the last lap!? Not so! Chris B. hopped on his wheel with Dillon then Joe. The benidorm guy blew up and Chris took the lead and charged down the back straight with all he had, pulling Dillon and Joe. Dillon took over and pulled into the wind for Joe at 31 mph! Joe picked it up and got the sprint win by a couple bikes! Fast and well executed!

The team as a whole is responsible for wearing out the peleton and leading out with intelligence! This was a desicive and well earned win!

Well done boys!

Comments:
FANTASTIC!!!! That's gotta be some HUGE points!!! SO sorry I missed it - sounded like Dillon got his sprint groovin' - and Joe, with a leadout?! Outstanding! Congratulations to you both and to the rest of the team! Well done!

Yes. Well done like a couple of hamburgers!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! SPEED and INTELLIGENT STRATERGIZING win the day. Well done and well thought out... just what a team race win should be!

I agree with suitcase. Fantastic. And huge points from me!

Now the real test! can we repeat?

Can't wait till Saturday... I've kept my bike in a small cage, with water dripping on it and I've been pokeing it to keep it awake!!boy is it gonna be angry on saturday when I let it out!!

Cogswild is going to take this if you guys don't get more men out front with Joe..Leadout is great, but I hope the Chris'es come in for the Big Storm.
Get their Numbers and Put your eyes on these two guys:
Tim Ratta
Chris Stemple
You are trailing by 5 Points. You know what this means. None of this saving yourself in the back quarter, and if you do, It better be because you are sharp enough to a) bridge the break (or make it happen) or b) Leading out 3 guys in the peleton for some serious points. If you are working hard make sure it is your man behind you. Way too broken up last week, even tho you thought you looked good, coming out to ride with the colors is nice, looks pretty but it is time to get real, 7-8 of you only need to finish the two listed above. There are two guys beating you doubled handedly. This aint cool. No more dancing. And you know who you are.
I'd give you a better/worse speach, but I'm only a self appointed, uninvited fake Coach who really knows nothing. Just get it done.

First of all it's Chris' instead of Chris'es.

Instead of correcting his grammer you guys should listen the mean coach and maybe even think about paying him. He is dialed in to you guys. With the numbers you brought to 11AM PSS you should have dominated that race. Regardless of what your race reports say, you got worked over by a team of two and a couple of solo riders.
